SmartSCAN WMS - Ability to Enter Service Charges on Picks and Puts

v22.21.0, MMB-8

Overview

Service charges can now be applied to WMS Put and Pick Dockets directly from a SmartSCAN Device. A new tab has been added to Docket screens that allow users to add, edit, or remove Service Charges to Dockets that have not yet been invoiced.

Enabling Service Charges on devices and associated settings

Jaix Admin > System> Main > Entity List

The ability to apply Service Charges on Dockets from SmartSCAN devices is controlled by a setting in Jaix Admin > Entity List.

Select SmartSCAN under the Mobility header for the required Entity.

Enable "Allow Service Charges on Device" to turn on the functionality.

Enabling "Prompt For Service Charges on Docket Confirm" will display a message to the User when a Put or Pick docket is confirmed prompting them to apply service charges.

Service Charge Setup

Control which Service Charges are shown on devices using the "Show on Device" flag that is available on the Global level Service Charge.

This option is only available for Service Charges that apply to Inwards or Outwards movements, and are not enabled for "Apply as Minimum"

Show on Device configuration is available at Global Service Charge level only, and not able to be overridden at Customer level

Applying Service Charges on the Device

A new tab has been added to Put and Pick Dockets on the SmartSCAN Device - "Services". This tab is accessible while initially completing a Docket, or can be accessed by opening a confirmed Docket that has not yet been invoiced.

The Services tab allows users to utilise the + and - buttons to adjust the quantity against the Service Charges, or a number can be typed using the device keyboard by selecting the quantity on the device screen. Once all required Services have been applied, use the device back button to exit the Docket.

Opening Confirmed Dockets

When Service Charge on Device Functionality is enabled, Confirmed Dockets can be reopened on the device to allow Service Charges to be updated. Dockets can be reopened either by scanning the Docket barcode, or entering the Docket number into the SmartSCAN home screen. Dockets that are invoiced are unable to be opened as the Services have already been charged out. If an invoiced Docket is attempted to be opened, a message will be displayed to show that the Docket is complete.
