Scan By Delivered Date Function - Setting Consignment Status

Overview

This task enhances existing scanning logic when 'Scan By Delivered Date' setting is toggled on and POD images are scanned against incomplete Consignments. JAIX will now set the Completed Date Time to the date selected and set the Status Code to Departed Receiver.

Previously, the 'Scan By Delivered Date' setting would only set the Completed Date Time and not the Consignment Status. For the purposes of this Task Manual, Consignment and Job are interchangeable.

Setup

Scanning folder must be a subdirectory of the Consignments parent folder.

JAIX Freight/Accounts/WMS > Tools > Imaging

• Non-POD Documents must be toggled off.
• Scan By Delivered Date must be toggled on.

This process will function using From File, From Scanner or Monitored Folder scanning methods.

Functionality

When clicking From File, or From Scanner, JAIX will prompt the user to enter the Delivered Date.

JAIX will use the current Date when importing POD images through a monitored folder with Scan By Delivered Date toggled on.

Any POD image scanned against a Consignment with the above options toggled, will set the Consignment Status to Departed Receiver (56), and will also set the Delivery leg Completed Date.

JAIX will not consider the current status of the Consignment prior to making these changes. Scanning POD imaging using this method will complete the Consignment and there will be no option to Manifest or Allocate this Consignment afterwards.
