Manifest Driver Assistance Codes

Overview

Driver Assistance Codes (DAC) help streamline payroll processing by allowing Manifests to be flagged with additional tasks performed by the Driver.

Codes can be updated against Manifest either manually or during Manifest Departure and Arrive workflows.

Reporting is available via the Manifest Search & List grid, Manifest Form and relevant Manifest Reports.

Setup

Jaix Freight > Tools > System Setup > Distribution

  • Add - Create a new DAC

  • Edit - Edit an existing DAC

  • Delete - Flag DAC as Inactive

  • Show Inactive - Show all Inactive DAC

User Role Permissions

In order for a Freight user to see/enter DAC’s, their user role must be enabled for these functions.

Allow Driver Assistance Code Entry - When enabled, users will see the DAC selection fields within the Manifest Depart and Arrive popups along with the manual DAC icon within Manifests to update outside of a Manifest Depart/Arrive events.

Allow Driver Assistance Code Entry After Processing - When enabled, users will be able to update DAC’s against a Manifest that’s already been processed.

Force DAC on Depart/Arrive

Setting to disallow Manifest Depart and Arrive unless DAC’s have been populated.

When enabled, Manifests cannot be Departed or Arrived unless DAC’s are populated. If there are two Drivers on the Manifest, both Codes must be populated.

If the user does not have permission to enter DAC’s, they will be unable to Depart and Arrive Manifests when DAC’s have not been set.

Functionality

Manifest

Jaix Freight > Distribution > Manifests

A new DAC icon is present within the Manifest form.

Clicking this icon will open the DAC Entry popup. Users with permission can enter/update/remove DAC from here.

  • DAC are split between the Depart and Arrive events.

  • DAC can be entered for Driver 1 if Driver 1 has been set on the Manifest.

  • DAC can be entered for Driver 2 if Driver 2 has been set on the Manifest.

If a user performs a Manifest Depart or Arrive from the Manifest directly, they will be presented with the Depart/Arrive popup.

This popup will include the Driver 1 & 2 DAC selection if the user has permission to enter values.

Linehaul Console

Jaix Freight > Distribution > Linehaul Console

When a Manifest is marked as Departed or Arrived via LHC, the user will be prompted to enter the Date Time.

If the user has permission to enter DAC’s, they will also have the ability to enter DAC’s within the Depart/Arrive prompt.

Manifest S&L

Jaix Freight > Distribution > Manifest S&L

DAC fields have been added to the Column Chooser.

These fields can be brought into the grid and will populate for each Manifest listed.

Manifest Form & Reports

Jaix Freight > Tools > Form Manager > Runsheets

The Manifest Form and variants have access to the DAC Code and Description for both Driver 1-2 and Depart/Arrive events.

Fields can bound within the form as needed.
