Linehaul Console - Un-Arrive Final Manifest in a Journey

v20.13, JF-1201

Overview

The design of the Linehaul Console is such that when the final manifest of a trailer load journey is 'Arrived', the trailer load is deemed to have reached its destination and therefore clears from the LHC screen. However, prior to this task there was no way to undo this action if a final manifest was incorrectly arrived.

Under this task we have introduced a new function to 'Un-Arrive' the final manifest of a trailer load to allow for such mistakes and return the trailer load to the LHC screen.

Un-Arrive Function on the Manifest Form

JAIX Freight > Distribution > Linehaul Manifests (Add/Edit/View) > Arrived

The Un-Arrive function is found on the open form for the manifest that has been incorrectly 'Arrived'. Select the Arrived icon of the Track and Trace bar to open the Manifest Arrive window (shown below). A new button has been included called 'Un-Arrive'.

On selecting, the user will be prompted to confirm the Un-Arrive action. Once confirmed, the manifest will return to a 'Departed' status, and return the now un-arrived trailer load to the LHC screen. The user can select 'Cancel' at this point if required.

'Arrived Today' View in LHC

JAIX Freight > Distribution > Linehaul Console

To assist users in finding a manifest that has been incorrectly arrived, a new option has been included under the View tab of the LHC called 'Arrived Today'.

This will show trailer loads in the LHC screen that have been 'Arrived', with an arrival date/time matching the day the user is viewing. Using the earlier example, selecting this option showed trailer load BR54 on the LHC despite being already arrived in to the final destination.

Conditions for Performing an Un-Arrive

To ensure no down-stream operations are incorrectly affected by Un-Arriving, the following validation must be passed before the system will proceed.

  • All consignments contained on the manifest must not be beyond the status of 'Arrived at Receiving Depot' (eg. Consignment(s) have not been allocated to a local truck for delivery).

When Linehaul Management is enabled, the below further validation must be passed:

  • If the resource assigned to the manifest is a company fleet, the 'Last Destination' of the fleet must match the manifest TO Zone (eg. the prime mover has not been departed on another load).
  • For the trailer load/s contained on the manifest, the trailer/s 'Last Destination' must match the manifest TO Zone (eg. the trailers have not been departed on another load).
  • For trailer load/s contained on the manifest, if it is planned to proceed on any FURTHER manifests, those manifests must still be in an unconfirmed status (eg. the A-trailer on the manifest which has been incorrectly arrived has already been manifested on a further load, but has not yet been confirmed/departed).
