Group Picks

Overview

Group Picking enables users to group multiple Pick Dockets together and pick them simultaneously using mobility hardware or from a printed job sheet.

Setup

Access to Group Pick functionality is controlled by User Roles in JAIX Admin. Ensure required User Roles are enabled for this functionality at JAIX Admin > System > User Roles.

Create a Group Pick

Group Picks can be created from WMS > Operations > Activity > Search/List.

Select or Mark the Pick Dockets requiring groups on the grid and use the batch actions tools to Create Group(s).

A new Group will be created for each group of Pick Dockets belonging to the same customer that meet the required validation.

• Docket is a Pick docket (no Put Dockets)

• Docket is not already in a Group

• Docket is fully Allocated

• Docket Status = New

• Docket Admin Status = Incomplete (not invoiced)

Where suitable dockets from multiple customers are selected, multiple groups will be created.

When creating Groups, documentation can be printed if required. Selecting any of the print options will print the associated documents for all Dockets within all Groups created.

Alternatively Select or Mark any Pick Docket from within a Group and use the print function in the batch action menus to print required documentation. Selecting Print for ALL Dockets within Pick Group will print the documentation for all dockets within a group even if only one of the dockets in the group was Selected or Marked. This option must be enabled to print Group Pick forms.

Group Pick jobs can be completed using mobility devices with SmartSCAN WMS, or from a printed Group Pick form. All picks will observe pick paths as defined in Warehouse > Storage > Find/Setup.

Define a Default Custom Group Pick Form in WMS> Tools> Setup> System Setup> Sites - General.

Picking with SmartSCAN

Navigate to the Group Picks menu or scan the Group Pick job barcode from the Home Screen to open the Group Pick job.

Pick the Group Pick as you would a normal Pick Docket.
