Add a new Debtor level WMS UOM to Freight Unit conversion

Overview

When creating ex-warehouse consignments, WMS Units can now be converted to Freight Units as specified at Customer or Warehouse level. This gives the ability to convert multiple WMS Units of Measure into a single Freight Unit Consignment Line for rating purposes.

Customer Level Conversions

Customers > Customer> (open Customer record) > WMS – Units of Measure > UOM To Freight Conversions

Select Add to add a UOM to Freight Conversion.

UOM	Select a WMS UOM from the list
Freight Unit Name	Type in the corresponding Fright Unit Name. Text needs to be an exact match for the conversion to be successful.

Where Conversions are set at both Customer and Global Level, Customer Level conversions will be used. If no conversion can be found at Customer level, Global will be used. If no conversion is available at either level, like units will be matched (e.g. Pallet = Pallet). If no match can be made units will need to be selected in Freight after the Consignment has been created.

Global Level Conversions

JAIX WMS > Tools > System Setup > Global – Units of Measure > UOM To Freight Conversions

Select Add to add a UOM to Freight Conversion.

UOM	Select a WMS UOM from the list
Freight Unit Name	Type in the corresponding Freight Unit name. Text needs to be an exact match for the conversion to be successful.

Ex-Warehouse Consignments

When a Consignment is generated from WMS, the WMS Units of Measure will be converted to the relevant Freight Units as per setup.

If the Customer has Detail Grouping by Freight Unit enabled Consignment Lines will be consolidated per Freight Unit. Refer task Manual JWM-75 - Ability to consolidate picked stock for Consignment creation for further information.
